Dec 29 - Gorak Shep and Kala Patthar - 5550m. It's feeling to be so close to the Everest!
Dec 28 - On the way to Lobuche
Dec 27 - We hiked to the mountain nearby to Dingboche and reached altitude of 5100 meters - that is good preparation for Everest Base Camp.
Dec 26 - We came to Dingboche. Here we stay again for two nights.
Dec 24 - Now we are for two nights in Namche Bazar for better aclimatization. So we have free day what we have used for easy trek around. Wheather is perfect, mood as well. It’s so beautiful scenery here.
Dec 23 - Today we reach Namche all is well here. Weather is good.

Our team in previous trip had a lovely Christmas Holiday walking to Everest Basecamp. The weather was clear and good. They brought in the New Year with an optional climb up Island Peak, in just one day!

31 Dec - Update from Jangbu Sherpa – Team Christmas Trek summit Island Peak. Today rest at Basecamp. Tomorrow will reach at Pangboche.

26 Dec - Update from Meryl Lipman - Merry Christmas to you and yours from Gorak Shep on the SummitClimb.com trek! One of our guys went to Everest Basecamp in high winds, one stayed in Lobuche to further acclimatize and I parked myself at the lodge here and drank tea. We love Jangbu Sherpa and are having a wonderful time!!! Thank you for everything!!!
25 Dec - Update from Jangbu Sherpa: Merry Christmas to all from Lobuche. Yesterday we walk along to the village Lobuche, 4,930 metres/16,200 feet . We celebrate our Christmas Eve here. All fantastic. We will update you more stay tune.

23 Dec - Update from Jangbu Sherpa: Christmas and Island Peak Team walked from Namche to Pangboche. Day was excellent, perfect weather great view of Everest, Lhotse Shar and AmaDablam. Today we are going to next village call Dingboche. Team feeling good.
22 Dec - Team doing good and took a rest day in Namche Bazaar. Today we are walking towards to Pangboche.
20 Dec - Christmas trek group are in Namche. All is well. Tomorrow rest day.
19 Dec - Our Christmas New Year Trek is underway! The team arrived in Kathmandu and the weekend. They spent time getting to know each other and checking equipment. Yesterday the members flew safely to Lukla and are now walking down to Phakding. Keep checking back for further updates and thanks for following.
