Oct 23 - After 3 days in high camp pushed for summit tonight at 2am, nobody of the team could make it due to high winds



Oct 22 - Update from Ang Dorjee - Baruntse team still at camp 2 for better wind. Weather forecast said tomorrow and the day after tomorrow the wind would slow down . So we will start our summit push tonight. Wish us good luck.



Oct 20 - We are in camp 2 right now . If weather is good we will give a try on 21st October for summit push. Wish us good luck.

Oct 18 - rest day - sherpas fixed rope to 2nd summit today. Expect to complete fixed rope to summit tomorrow. Summitclimb team commence climb tomorrow and ascend to camp 1.


Oct 17 - oct rest + happy day at bc! Lovely puja ceremony with baruntse in background. Hot shower too!



Oct 16 - Arrived baruntse bc  rest day and puja ceremony tomorrow.



Oct 15 - Yesterday we farewelled our friends jurgen gudren + herbert who headed back towards lukla for more adventures after mera peak   sadly we also farewell to mike who had to rush home to his seriously ill father  our thoughts are with him   for the 4 remaining climbers we had a challenging but beautiful hike to seti pokhari along a river valley under spectular chamlang all safe  +  well

Oct 14 - Great weather at Mera Peak today. We left high camp at 2 A.M. and summited at 8 A.M.  We feel tired and safe now.



Oct 13 - Update from Dorjee - From basecamp, we moved up a high snow pass called the Mera La and camp at 5400 metres/17,700 feet. The views here are stunning with a panoramic ring of Himalayan peaks surrounding the camp. From here we continued up a short steep walk to Mera high camp at 5800 metres/19,000 feet, located near a rocky outcrop. Tonight we are going for SUMMIT. Please wish us a GOOD LUCK. Oct 12 - Update from Ang Dorjee Sherpa - We are resting at Kahare due to really poor weather. Praying that it improves for summit please send better weather. Going for a ice bath and coffee hahaha






Oct 11 - Update from Drew Arrived safely at Khare (5000m) and the first day with NO rain! The sun was out and we recharged our batteries as we climbed up with Mera Peak towering overhead.




Oct 10 - Update from Drew -All safe and well - We haven’t lost anyone yet! For the first time in a week it has stopped raining - the sun shines through!! Warming up in the lodge at Tagnag and hoping the weather improves as the week goes on.




Oct 09 - we walked to Kothey, 3,500 metres (11,483 feet), beautiful mountain village surrounded by forest. All good here.



Oct 08 - Today we moved camp up to 4040m (13,250'). The trek up took a little over 3 hours and we were treated to beautiful views of the valley below with clouds moving in and out below us all day. Now we are at Kothey, 3,500 metres (11,483 feet), beautiful mountain village surrounded by forest. Sleep in Teahouse.









Oct 6 - Today we walked to Cholemkharka, 3,580 metres (11,742 feet). Beautiful hill farming and yak pastures. But all day raining. Weather is not good. Sleep in Teahouse.



Oct 06 - Yesterday we walked to Khiraule, 2,460 metres (8,069 feet). Visit Chambaling Monastery. Sleep in Teahouse.



Oct 4 - Yesterday we reached to Salleri town, 2,360 metres (7,740 feet). Large village in the foothills of Everest. Stay at hotel. Today we reached to Bung village, 1,800 metres (5,904 feet). Entry to Makalu Barun National Park Headquarters. Stay at hotel.

3 Oct - Busy few days in Kathmandu with the members buying last minute supplies, equipment & getting to know each other, today driving to Salleri.  Hope all is well.
